Galilee Part 1

I don't have a ton of time, but I am trying to Post pictures. It is a Beautiful place here, and I am so grateful to be here!

This is Beth Shean, Lots of different layers, and people where here

This is the Synagogue in Nazareth, where Jesus Proclaimed Himself as the Messiah

This is the grotto where Supposedly Gabriel visited Mary and told her that she was going o be the mother of the Son of God.

Ancient Nazareth, under the Church of Annunciation.

In the Church of Annunciation there are murals of Mary and Jesus from all over the world. This is America's contribution.

Church on Annunciation in the Clouds!

Church of St. Joseph, supposedly over the house that Christ grew up in, and Joseph's Carpenter shop.

Mary (Still at Church of Annunciation)

Switching to Mount Arbel - a cliff face overlooking Galilee

Panorama from the top:)

Beautiful Sunset! This is day 1

We went on a boat ride over the Sea of Galilee, including singing "Master the tempest is raging" and reading both the "Peace Be Still" account, and Jesus walking across on water. Really cool day!

We were up first thing in the morning, this is the sun behind us!

This is a boat that has been preserved. It was found after a drought in 1986, and dates to the 1st century. Same kind of boat fromt he time of Jesus

Fountain on the Mount of Beatitudes, Pretty.

This is me, and my friend/roommate Abi on the Mount of Beatitudes.

We hiked down the mount, so this is still the Mount of Beatitudes, only out in nature, not inside a church...

This is at St. Peter's Primacy, also a very pretty place. A great talk to go back and read is Elder Holland's from the last conference. It is very Powerful, and talks about this exchange between Peter and Christ where Peter is asked if he loves Christ 3 times, and is told to feed His sheep.

Place where Christ gave the Sermon of the Bread of Life, telling them that it is only through Him that we can be saved and live forever. Synagogue in Capernaum

Another Beautiful Sunset over Galilee, this one is from Capernaum. Christ calls Capernaum "His own city" in Matthew 9:1, and would watch the sunset from right around here. Beautiful place!

That is all the pictures for now, Have a great thanksgiving all! I will go back and post some from the last few weeks before Galilee soon!
