It’s almost the Day before the Night before Christmas!

So how long is it going to take to write a post? I just deleted one that I have been working on since the beginning of December and it is starting to bug me.

I really love to read, I have always loved to read anything that had a good story line in it (It's a plus if they happen to have horses as well) I just finished a book called "Goose Girl" by Shannon Hale, It was a really good book and I highly recommend it. It is a fun filled Fantasy that includes Adventure, Friendship, Romance, and Hero's, Wind, and Horses, Princes and Princesses, and Much More!

There isn't really much going on other than that, I got my Personal Progress the week after Thanksgiving, Finished Finales, and got excited for Christmas.

We always go to do the Live Nativity at Tuachan every year on the Monday night before Christmas. This year the nativity got canceled and so I am not thereL.

Well I guess that I better get going.

Where has the month gone again!!!

You guys must think that I am really a slacker. It has almost been a month since I have posted. So here is a general rundown of the month. I am still going to college and liking it. Music theory is fun but I think that there are only about 4 people that know that I am only 14.
I finished my Personal Progress and am having my night to receive it next Sunday. My Projects for Personal Progress included: Reading the book of Mormon, Doing Secret Grandma's (Where you leave anonymous gifts on you adopted Grandma's porch), Going to spend ten days in Peru doing humanitarian projects over thanksgiving last year, going to learn about the 7 habits of Highly Effective Teens with my Mom, Creating this Blog, volunteering for the Marathon, and Sewing a Quilt for Primary Children's Medical Center.
In Seminary we have been learning about the second coming and all the signs and stuff like that, I am excited for it to come and I hope that it comes quickly. We have seen all of the signs but one and that is the Gospel being opened to the entire world. I hope and pray that that will happen soon. Brother Troyer, Who is my Seminary Teacher says that there is 2 ways that the savior can come and have the entire world know that he is here and that is, 1) having all of the continents come together as one, and 2) having no darkness, Sun, Moon or Stars, because he is the light that the sun gets light from. I really hope that it is the second way and that I can see the from above when we are lifted up.

All most done!!!

Where has the month gone??? I am sorry that I am such a slacker at posting but here is a rundown on how things are.
this week I got to go and help push cows down the mountain with my friend Carol and some neighbors, It was a ton of fun, and even though it was freezing cold (We where in snow the whole time coming from a place where it is still 85 in the afternoons)it was fun. I rode my Beautiful horse Dash (but I think he thought that I was crazy to take him up there).
This week was midterm grades and also UEA weekend so we went to Colorado with my grandparents for some fun. We spent a day at the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park and almost had it all to ourselves, Then we spent a day in Denver and the last day we went to a museum and on a bike ride in Fruta. It was really fun.
Now for the reason that I got to posting, I am like done with my personal progress, (All I need to do is make it to Salt lake to deliver a Quilt to the Primary children's hospital and Write me testimony in the back of the book)so i thought that I would work on posting the last journal entries. so here you go:
Individual worth #3
“Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God” (D&C 18:10)
We all have great worth in the sight of God, We are all his children. As I noticed qualities in other people, I came to appreciate qualities that Heavenly father has given me as well as the Qualities that I saw in others. I know that My Heavenly Father lives and that there is so much white in our lives but so little black, Sometimes it is easier to see the Black in others even though there is still a whole bunch more white that we should see. I am grateful for the love that heavenly father has for me that he would send his only begotten son to die that we could live.

Individual worth # 4
I participated in the 2008 Performance Evaluations for the Utah Music Teachers Association. I played “Waltz in Eb” By Muzio Clementi. I got a Superior and was able to play with my Sister, Brinley at another recital later that night. My self-worth extended in getting a good rating and being able to play. I know that we all have worth in the sight of God but sometimes we have to remind ourselves that we have Self-Worth as well and that we can do hard things.

Hope you all have a great day.

Personal Progress

I only have 2 More Things Left for Personal Progress!!! (after I finish this journal Page)

I went to the play "Big River". It was really good. They used to same language that was used back then and that means that it had some swearing but other than that it was good. I have 2 friends that was in this play acting as the Slaves and i just think that that is really cool and also think that it would be really had considering that they are black.

here are some things about the Play and the Thirteenth article of faith:
Honest: Huck Finn wasn't very Honest, sometimes for the good and sometimes for the Bad, He lied to get away from his Dad who was going to kill him, But he also lied to get money.
True: Huck Finn is true all the time to his friend Jim, He Free's him, Claims him as his so that he won't be taken as a runaway and much more.
... You know the story.
I will Post again about this week in a minute

My Week :)

Where do you want me to Start? Last Weekend I did the Tri and it was my best one yet!
Dad won his division, Chandler got 2nd in the series, and Jed Won his division.

I got my new horse for the winter KODA!!! He is really preaty and nice. He is a Paint sorrel but needs a bath and to loose some weight! I have ridden him everyday since I got him and my brother Chandler even goes with me now.

Isagenix Weight Loss

I have been doing this program called Isageniex and have been on for about 1 week and have already lost 11 Pounds! I am back into pants that I haven't been able to wear for at least a year and am still losing. I am so exited.

What can be better? (If I Had time to go and ride my horse I would think that this is the best week so far this year:))

What books are ya'll reading? I haven't read another one since I read "Daughter of the Mountian" that was a realy good book, but I am ready for more, any ideas?

have a GREAT DAY!

Personal Progress

I almost have my Personal progress!!!
I am about 3 experiences away from it. but I have 4 journal entries that my Mom told me to post on my blog so here they are:

Faith #1:
I have developed a habit of personal prayer in my life. I have found that when I don’t say my prayers I will either have a bad night or an off day. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and that all I have to do is pray and I will have help when I need it. He is always there and He loves me I know that He will help me when I need Him to and that He will always be there for me.

Good works #5:
My little brother Jakob takes a lot of taking care of sometimes. He is always into something. I love him so much and am grateful that I have had the chance to serve him for a while. I hope that I can always have the blessing of service in my life. I grateful to my parents that have helped me develop that habit. I Love you Jakob. I love it when you get that cute smile with dimples. I love it when you come running, and just want a hug. We all need hugs in this life, and I am grateful to get lots from you. Please always remember that I love you. I am grateful to get hugs from you! Someday you will be grown up, and a hug may become an awkward thing to share, but I will always remember the hugs we have shared as you have grown up. Somedays when I am just having a bad day, you are an angel to me, and hug me, and remind me that someone loves me. Thank you for loving me! I love you too, and I will forever! It must be how our Heavenly Father feels about each of us. I can’t imagine hugging him, but if it is as peaceful and comforting as hugging a darling little one like you Jakob, then I can’t wait to hug Him again! I love you Heavenly Father & Heavenly Mother! Thanks for sending me a little brother to teach me about Love!

Integrity #2 & 4
Integrity is defined as: The entire unimpaired state of anything particularly of the mind. Moral soundness or purity; Incorruptness, up rightfulness honesty, Integrity comprehends the whole moral character, but has a special reference to the uprightness in mutual dealings. Purity, genuine, unadulterated, unimpaired state.
I am grateful to have integrity in my life. I know that it is a lot easier to get things if people know that they can trust you. I am grateful that I have earned my parents trust and hope that I can always have that trust throughout my life. I know that if I have impeccable integrity that I will have more friends, a better relationship with my family, and others. I am grateful for that blessing in my life. One example of integrity in my life is my Dad. When he promises something, he always does his very best to come through with his promise. I know that I can trust what he tells me as the truth. I know that if he says we are going someplace, or that something will be done, he will do his very best to make it so.

Integrity #5
“Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life”
This is a great scripture. I believe there are two things that we have to do to be redeemed of God outlined in this scripture. The first is to serve – to mourn with those that mourn, and comfort those that stand in need. Jesus said that the first and great commandment is to Love your Neighbor as yourself. When I do something nice for someone else I feel good inside. It doesn’t always have to be a big thing, even something as simple as sharing vegetables with others brings a smile to my face. Sometimes serving others requires personal sacrifice. Then it is harder to give, like the time it took for me to make the quilt and donate it to Primary Children’s Hospital. It is a really cute quilt. I stayed up several nights really late getting it done. Even my Grandma doesn’t want me to give it away, but I know that I will feel really good giving it away. I look forward to taking it to Primary Children’s Hospital to deliver it to someone who needs a hug. I hope they know it is a hug coming from a Heavenly Father & Mother who love them!
The second part is standing as a witness of God at all times and in all things, and in all places. I have had some pressure to do horseshows on Monday night. I know that I will be blessed because I have chosen to follow the Lord’s counsel and not participate in activities on Monday nights. I am grateful for the prophet and the counsel that he gives. I know that by following the counsel that I am keeping my promise with the Lord, and striving to stand as a witness of Him. When I am willing to keep my promise, then He will keep His as he promises in D&C 82:10: “I the Lord am bound when ye do what I say, but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise.” I am grateful to know of promises like this from my Heavenly Father. I can trust Him. I know His promises are sure!

I know that the church is true and that I have a heavenly father who loves me. i Know that I have a divine porpuse on this earth and that I can live with him again someday. I know that Joeseph smith is a true prophet.

First day of school

Can You Believe It!
Yesterday was my very first day at a public school!!! (It was still only seminary but still)
I was scared at first but my teacher is awesome and it was funner that I thought it would be.
I am 14 and haven't stepped in a school room other than my school room at home!
It was really exciting. the next thing that I am scared about is that collage starts on the 26th:) at the collage I am taking: Intro to music, A Group Piano instruction, Music theory, Dixie Form, and World civilisation;)
I cut my hair for the new school year, its feels really short even though it is still shoulder length. It still takes a while to do it just in a different way.
what else is new... I won Reserve sweepstakes in my one horse show of the year, I Found my new favorite song "Cowgirls don't cry" By Brooks and Dunn, I started making cards for my Dad's office, went to the demo derby at the fair, I got my Quilt finished, and Found a book called "Circle of Doors" that is really good (I haven't finished it yet)...

I got to get back to work i post later;)

On to Washington

As titled, I am in Washington for the weekend. It took 3 days to get here in a car sitting three across with my cousins. On the way we stopped at the Twin Falls temple and went through the open house. AS we went into the different ordinance rooms you could fell the spirit so strong. We went to the Ceiling room and it went so white and bright and we didn't talk in that room and it was so neat! I love the temple so much and I am grateful that i could get to go inside and feel the spirit.
The next thing that we stopped at was the falls that was really neat and pretty.
We then went to to an underground tour and that was really cool to learn about some history of that town.
yesterday we went to see the fish climb the ladders and that was cool even though there weren't many;)
today sadly we aren't going to church but we are going to Mt. St. Helen's.
I'll write back soon;)

What a Week

What a week it has been.
I haven't been home for a full week for 3 weeks and I will be gone for a about 3 more weeks. If any one has any ideas on what I should do for my horse, Lady who know is getting eaten alive by flies because she is allergic to the fly spray that should be all natural and also the one that I used all summer last year please tell me.
I finally got pictures on my blog, can you believe it???
Last week was so fun, we went to SLC and played with my cousins. We went hiking, boating, swimming, and had a family party with all of my Grandpa's side of the family. On the 4th we went and took the Tram at Snowbird and then hiked down (Or should I say "bum slide"). It was so fun.
I have just finished (4 or 5 days ago) a book about Emma Smith. It was a really cool book. I learned so much about what she went through although it was a novel I knew most of the events that were included. She lost 5 children. She lost the approval of her father and was disowned from her family. She lost her husband, and she was always helping others before herself. I really admire her.
That is enough for today but I will post later.

Emma Smith

alue="http://www.youtube.com/v/HaH_OKPO-zs&hl=en">
I just saw this up on the computer and thought of how much that Emma Smith has gone through. I am reading the book called "Emma, a women of faith" and thought that this clip resembled just a tiny part of what she went through.
Emma is my Hero. She went through so much for this church. She lost 3 sons before she could have one that lived, she lost the respect of her Father because he thought that she was a fool for marrying Joseph Smith. She helped translate the Gold plates but wouldn't even think about taking even just a little peek at the plates even when she knew that others had seen them.
I realy look up to her and if i had to choose two Women that I would want to be like it would be My MOM and Emma Smith.
I pray that I can become Half as Great Women as these two women are.
I Love My Savior Jesus Christ and know that He lives. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet called for these latter-days. I know that the Book Of Mormon was brought forth at this time to help us. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

WOW! I can't believe that I haven't posted since May 20th!
Last Week (May 26th-May31st) I took my member friend to EFY and it was AMAZING! The Whole week was the most spiritual week in my life, there were a lot of miracles.
Starting at the beginning:
On Friday (May23rd) Kylea's Dad Don decided to let Kylea go to EFY with me at BYU. Then on Monday we went to register/check in. When we got there we where told that we needed to show up at 10:00 to get on a list for any cancellations that they would have that day and then we should come back to 12:45 and get registered. Well is didn't quite work that way. When we got to there all the people that were supposed to be there weren't there and they wouldn't be there for a half hour. Grandpa dropped us of and then left so we were alone for a half hour waiting (this was a good thing since Grandpa would of gotten Mad). When it can time to register there wasn't a list to put her name on and they told us that there wasn't any way that she could get in. the lady talked to mom and then finally said that she would try to work it out and to just hang out for a while. by know it is raining, so we hid our stuff under a over hang and then went to the subway that was about 3 blocks away.
We did get in and got to be roommates (a plus) and had a great week. On Tuesday she started asking questions about the church and by Thursday at testimony meeting she shocked me by getting up and saying that she had felt that she was supposed to be here and that she knew that all the classes (I had tried to get her to go to the classes that wouldn't by so overwhelming but she wanted to go to some ones that would go into depth about the church and other things) and such was the truth. Later that night we found out that two of the girls in our group didn't have a Dad that was worthy to hold the Priesthood and one of those girls didn't have a Mom that believed either. Kylea started asking questions about what would happen to her and her parents after they died.
On Sunday after we had gotten home I was reading my Scriptures and was thinking/asking what I could say to Kylea about the church and so forth and I found this Scripture:
Mattew 10:18-20
18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

And that hit me so hard because I know that it was true.
Later that day I felt impressed to ask her to come to youth conference with my last weekend and she asked while she was still on that phone and said Yes!
At youth conference there was a ward that are her backdoor neighbors that was there and so that made it a little more comfortable and we had a BLAST!!!

New Blog Look

So I went onto my Mom's Computer and found blog templates up and decided that mine needed a new look. I was really excited to find this one and many more and find how to make them. This template is called

Strips from http://matiekay.blogspot.com/2008/05/new-templates.html that has some really cute templates and she tells you how to copy it onto your blog!

I just thought that I should share that.

It has been a while since I have blogged and so I have made it a goal to post and maybe do something to make it cute every day for a month.

In the last 2 weeks I have Gone To SLC Utah twice, Both times helping my grandpa fix a roof at his warehouses that had rotted out and Unfortunately found two more roofs that needs to be redone. I moved into Mia maids and love it even if I have only made it to YWs once since I moved in because last Tuesday I was helping my Grandpa, but it's all good.

Last night we rode our bikes in to Jed's b-ball game, It was pretty cool to see 8 bikes and a trailer all in a line singing while riding down 2nd street. We took the bike path from the high school and in the gap between St. George and Bloomington we watched like 7 birds that we think where Owls playing with each other, diving, gliding, doing loops, it was like watching fireworks and we sang patriotic songs and camp songs the rest of the way home. When we where about a mile away Sara fell asleep, while pedaling and crashed into Brinley going over the handle bars for the 2nd time that night so we put her in the trialor and Chandler had to ride his bike while pushing Sara's bike all the way home.It will be a night that we remember. It was a BLAST.

I think that Mia maids are going to be so fun and hopefully i wont have as much of a problem going to YW. My Ears are pierced with a white daisy as my earrings and they are so cute!
I got to go and finish packing but I will write back soon;)

Busy week

Yesterday was busy, We went to the temple At 6:15 and did Baptism’s for the dead and then skipped breakfast with the ward, and went to get doughnuts and then go home to help my mom with a Pow Wow for the scouts. There I went to help teach with My friends (Connie and Tresa) teach the horsemanship class from 9:00 to 12:00 and the wind was perfect since it held out until the last boy left and then gave the kite festival the wind that it wanted although it was really windy, then we worked out side in the yard planting and pulling weeds and pruning trees and so forth. Then it got fun, I was really tired since I stayed up until 12:30 before going to bed and Friday and got up at 5:30 to feed my horses and then go to the temple but Mom had gotten up at 2:00 AM and stolen Jed’s phone because it was his B-Day. She texted everyone on his phone and told them to come and surprise him at 8:00. It was really fun.

Wasn't General Conference Great!!!

Wasn't General Conference Great!!! My Favorite Speaker Was Dennis ( I can't remember his last name) Of The 70 about Standing up for what you believe in and how he said not to lower your standers to keep your friends, and if that is what you have to do to keep them then you better find better friends!
I also liked Pres. Monsons talks about his heritage and family on both sides and I also liked that we saw more humor in his talks, I heard (Because There is 3 priesthood holders in my family) that during the Priesthood Session that He talked about mimicking others testimony. He used the example of when he was at a Stake Conference that there was a boy sitting on the front row and he was doing everything that Pres. Monson was doing, like folding his arms and crossing his legs and stuff like that now Pres. Monson said that he did a few things to make sure that he had his attention and he was pretty sure that he could do something that he couldn't so when he had his attention he wiggled his ears and my Dad said that he could see his ears moving when he demo. this that he could see them moving clear in the back of the Gym!
I thought that it was fun to her him get humorous some times.

My Horse Lady

What A Night, I'll start at 5:30 Wednesday Evening, We went to Jed’s basketball game where we played Pine View High School one of our biggest rivals and lost both games. On the way home we stopped to feed horses, Dash was running around like he would if lady was gone and I couldn't see lady and thought that maybe she was dead as we have been worried about her for a while now and don't know how long she will be here. I was really worried about her but finally found that she was alright. When we got home every one was tried and hungry and so I didn't say anything. Then during dinner Jake (1) throw up every thing and so Mom and Dad and I cleaned up the mess. After they where done taking care of Jake they didn't come back down so I didn't say anything. Then we did dishes and put on our Pajamas and went to Kiss Mom and Dad like every night. We got talking but they where talking to Jed about the game so I didn't interrupt and went to bed and said my prayers but told Heavenly Father that It's okay and that Lady could go and It was probably time for her to go and to tell her that I love her if she goes tonight. I then got in bed. I was still crying when mom came in and she wanted to know hat was wrong and so I told her about lady and the rest of it. I t is know 10:55 and Mom says lets say a prayer and then she called Dad who was still talking to Jed and he said another Prayer then told me to say one to let her Go. After we all went and got dressed again and went over and spent the next hour moving lady to a dryer place and praying for her to be able to go soon and be out of her pain. She was still there this morning but probably wont be there for long.
i know that there are good people that can take care of her after she has gone and that she will be happy there but I still will miss her. I love you Lady!

She's still here

Last night I dreamed that lady was gone but she was still there and I’m glad. I’m hopefully going to go on a horseback ride but can’t find anyone to go with. Oh well. I am excited to go skiing on Monday with some homeschoolers in our area but hope that Lady will still be here. But I don’t think that she will, She eyes have been cloudy for a while now and she seems restless and not excited anymore for anything like she used to. I hope that she won’t hurt to bad when she goes and that I can help her but I don’t know much about that. I’ve got to go give Sam a piano lesson but I’ll write back soon and keep you posted!

President Hickley

Do we read our Book of Mormon or do we just leave it on the self collecting dust? I had a lesson in YW’s about the Book of Mormon. We talked about how our Testimonies grow when we read the Book of Mormon, I have recently read the Book of Mormon, I started on the December 15th and ended on January 12th. It was very neat. I still learned about the Book of Mormon today. The Book of Mormon is the keystone to our religion and without the Book of Mormon our religion would crumble. I am thankful for the Book of Mormon and know that it was written for our time.
This past week I have been thinking about President Hinckley and how he has been the prophet most of my life. Sister Nuttel tells this story about President Hickley: “When we are in heaven and are talking to all of our friends from the Premortal World some of them will have been with Moses when he parted the red Sea or with Joseph in Egypt and someone will ask, what prophet’s time where you? And when you say President Hinckley there will be a hush over the whole building and they will all bow at your feet.” We were saved for these times because we are the most righteous. I know that this is true.
President Hinckley’s 6 bee’s are Be Grateful, Be Humble, Be Smart, Be Clean, Be true, Be prayerful. These bees should be and are some of my standards that I follow, THANK YOU PRESIDENT HINCKLEY!!!

Jumping again today was the blessing of my cousin Bode Paulsen Linford. There was so much snow in Salt Lake – where the blessing was – that they cancelled church so we went and had the blessing at Keri’s house. It was very cool!

Book of mormon Testomony - President Hinkley

I haven't posted for a while I know, sorry!
Since I posted last, I have tried to post a few times but haven't finished any of them.
I have been doing a few things this month that I should follow up on,
Jan. 11th and 12th I went to a Book Of Mormon Read-A-Thon where we read the Book Of Mormon from Alma 1 to Ether than read Moroni, I was so Cool!!! I did it a my Faith Value Project for YW's, What they did was they had different speakers came and read the book of Mormon , some where slow others where more interesting. In Helaman Dad went to read and told of the 2000 Stripling Warriors in Alma 53:20-21 it states: "And they where all young men and they where exceedingly valiant for courage, and also for strengthand activity; but behold they where men who where true at all timesi whatsoever thimg they where intrusted. Yea, they were men of truth and soberness, for they had been taught to keep the commandments of god and to walk uprightly brfore him." theres where good men who didn't even fear death for they where taught by there mothers that if they trusted God that he would deliver them. I am grateful for there example. When we got to third Nephi it talks about when Jesus is born and the signs of his comeing, any whey they showed the testament and had neet sound effects is was so cool and I felt the spirit so strong I know that it is true and that he will come again and that he is risen and that we to can be risen in the last day. I am thankful for this truth.

We just heard that President Hinkley died today, January 27th, 2008 I know that he went to live with heavenly father again and that he is enjoying the reunion with his Wife that died a few years ago, I am so grateful that we know that we can still be lead that through the keys that the Quaram of the twelve that we can still have a prophet today. I hope that I can live righteously so that I can return again some day. I love the Savior and I love President Hinkley.

Got to go feed horses, be back tomorrow.

This week I had the BEST time with my Mom.
We went to a training to be able to teach a class about the “7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens”. This class was so fun even though all of the people there beside me and Mom were teachers at some kind of School.  The class was about how we all have to Balance our lives and between all of our rules and about being a great teenager. It was really fun. I learned How important it is to Have Balance in our lives. I am Grateful to have such a neat Mom that I can talk to and is my Beast Friend

Hi, Well I have so many thing on my mind right now, I am thinking about my horse Lady who is not doing good wondering how long she is going to hang on, I am hoping that I can get hay for the lest amount of money, and wondering if I am supposed to buy this horse that Carol, my friend has been taking care of for this guy named Wally who just died and his wife says to sell her for what ever she can get out of her. I have been working on my high school classes that I am taking from BYU independent study. My Mom has got us signed up for a class that certifies you to teach the 7 habits for highly effective teens class. I need to write some things for my personal progress requirements and so here they are:
Faith #4: I love the Savior and I know that he loves me, I am grateful that he took upon us our sins so that we can repent and live with him again, I love him, I hope that i can return to live with him again. At the last supper that Savior took the bread and broke it and blessed it and said unto his apostles eat in remembrance of my body. every time that I take the sacrament I renew my baptismal covenants, I am grateful for that opportunity.
Faith #7: Tithing is also very important, We listened to a talk by Mary Cook and she talked about how it's not about how much tithing that you pay but that it's how much faith you put with it, i think that when we don;t pay tithing we are not only robbing God but we are also robbing ourselves, because when we pay tithing we receive blessings and love from our heavenly father.
I think that we are all ably to chose what we do in life but not our consequences.
